On June 1st, the ladies of
SNSD released their first
full-length Japanese album and after the first day, the album topped the
Oricon daily albums
chart
by selling 73,583 units. Now, with the second day of sales tallied it’s
been revealed that the girls have broken the 100,000 sales mark
threshold!
With a second day sales figure of 48,428 units the girls have officially sold a total of 122,011 units! If you can
recall, back in November, popular group
KARA released their album,
“Girl’s Talk” and it sold a total of 107,000 units it’s first week, marking that
monumental feat as the first
album by a non-Japanese Asian girl group in
Japan
in 6 years and 9 months to sell more than 100,000 album copies in its
first week. Now, SNSD has surpassed KARA’s first week tremendous sales
figure in just two days.
Quite an accomplishment, the ladies of SNSD are well on their way to first place on the Oricon Weekly album chart ranking.
