Who would have guessed that Korea’s current ‘queen of ballads’ was once a trot singer?
On May 26th, Baek Ji Young revealed her shocking debut story through KBS’s “Happy Together”. The star revealed that before she became a soloist, she was once part of a trot group named ‘Trot Voice’.
She stated, “This 9 member co-ed trot group was made by SoBangCha’s Lee Sang Won. I joined so I could learn more but I was lucky to gain some popularity through it.”
Hilariously, as an old clip of Trot Voice came on (like they always do), Baek Ji Young became flustered and had to look away from the screen.
