On May 29th, singer/producer
J.Y. Park reunited with his fans for the first time in 10 years at his fan meet in Baekam Art Hall.
Over 450 fans gathered for a deep-hearted
discussion
with the star on his past 10 years of achievements. Fans were touched
by the fact that J.Y. Park interacted with them not as the CEO and
producer of JYP
Entertainment,
but as the singer and actor they originally remember him by. The fan
meet was particularly intimate, since J.Y. Park chose to have a
dedicated fan to MC the event for him.
J.Y. Park kicked off with a
touching performance of
“I Haven’t Forgotten You”
before moving on to reflect on their memories together with a life
graph. He listened to his fans’ concerns and personal problems, and then
brightened the mood once more by engaging in a fun
Dibidibidib game.
Not only did he sing songs
requested by his fans on the spot, but even performed “
Itaewon Freedom” with special guests
UV. The two-hour fan meet concluded with fans
reading aloud the letters that they had written him, and in turn, received a
sweet hug from the star as a parting gift.
J.Y. Park commented,
“It’s been such a long time that I’ve last seen
my fans like this, so it was very exciting for me. I’ve missed them so
much and they’re all getting old with me. I’m grateful that I was able
to spend two hours with them and feel that we’ve created enough memories
to cherish for the rest of my life. I’d like to thank them once
again.”
He will be returning to the States on the 31st in preparation for the Wonder Girls’
new album.
